The untitled Venom: Let There Be Carnage Sequel- Venom 3 (film) 2024

About Venom 3

The untitled Venom: Let There Be Carnage Sequel is an upcoming American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Venom, produced by Columbia Pictures. Distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, it is the sixth film in Sony’s Spider-Man universe and is intended to be a sequel to Venom (2018) and Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021). The film is written, co-produced and directed by Kelly Marcel (in his directorial debut), from a story he wrote with Tom Hardy, who reprises his roles as Eddie Brock and Venom, and also serves as co-producer.
Hardy revealed in August 2018 that he had signed on to appear in a third Venom film, with the second film set to begin development by December 2021 after its release. Marcel and Hardy were writing the script by June 2022, and Marcel was set to direct that October. Filming began in Spain in late June 2023, but was halted the following month due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. Filming was set to resume after the end of the strike in November, and is also expected to take place in London.
The film is slated to release in the US on November 8, 2024.

Release

The film is scheduled to release in the United States on November 8, 2024. It was previously expected for an October 2024 release, and was scheduled for July 12, 2024.
Sony signed deals with Netflix and Disney in April 2021 for the rights to their 2022 to 2026 film slate, following the films’ theatrical and home media windows. Netflix signed on for the exclusive “Pay 1 window” streaming rights, which is typically an 18-month window. And that includes future Venom films following Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Disney has signed the “Pay 2 Window” rights for the films, which will stream on Disney+ and Hulu, as well as air on Disney’s linear television networks.
